Spetstransmonolit-T (Omnicomm LLS: control of fuel consumption and monitoring of transport)

Implementation of the equipment Omnicomm on the equipment of Spetstransmonolit Ltd Spetstransmonolit Ltd - one of the largest companies of the Moscow region specializing in construction of facilities of transport infrastructure, bridges and tunnels. The company took part in construction of such objects as air terminal complex of Vnukovo Airport, a runway at Sheremetyevo Airport and also participated in creation of Olympic venues in Sochi. The park of the company includes more than 200 units of the construction and special equipment among which there are Delmag and Bauer drilling rigs, the multifunction machines ABI, loaders, caterpillar excavators, concrete pumps, auto concrete mixers, truck cranes, tractors, dump trucks, compressors and diesel generators.

Project Progress

The Moscow partner of Omnicomm – SBS-RUS company was engaged in project implementation. At the first stage navigation Omnicomm Optim terminals and Omnicomm LLS fuel level sensors equipped a front-end loader and the auto concrete mixer. After results of implementation were recognized successful, at the end of 2013 the equipment Omnicomm equipped 75 more pieces of equipment, including fuel-servicing trucks.

Results

According to the results of six months of use of a system, on average, fuel consumption rates for boring machines, diesel generators and some models of loaders were reduced by 20%. Average monthly economy of diesel fuel made about 17.5 tons. Besides, with introduction of the automated control of waybills the discipline of drivers grew and also attempts of overestimate of a real run and an operating time of engine hours practically disappeared. Expenses on system implementation of monitoring paid off less, than in 5 months.

Commenting on results of implementation, the deputy CEO of Omnicomm company Stanislav Yemelyanov noted that decisions of the company were confirmed once again the efficiency in the field of control of operation of the construction and special equipment.

"Such equipment requires the special solutions in real time controlling operation of actuators and also fuel consumption depending on loading. As a result of use of our equipment, most often, it becomes clear that consumption rates of fuel are overestimated, and fuel is plundered by unfair personnel. Naturally, installation of monitoring systems once and for all stops this practice and allows to do operation of the equipment absolutely "transparent", - he added.
