Kuzmin Yury Aleksandrovich

Biography

Ended a mathematical class of school No. 706 in Moscow.

In 1974 graduated from faculty of radio electronics of MAI, did military service the engineer of the station, then worked as the engineer on radio electronics, technology of communication, operation and development of ADP equipment.

In 1982 received a position of the scientific editor in the Elektronika magazine which was issued Mir publishing house. In 1987 it is appointed the manager of edition of literature on electronics of Mir publishing house. In the mid-eighties also participated in preparation of scientific and technical dictionaries, in particular was the head of group of authors of "The big English-Russian polytechnical dictionary", translated into the Russian and English languages a number of books and a significant amount of articles on scientific and technical subject.

In 1989 was invited to organize and head the editorial office of the USSR's first computer magazine "PC World" (before it was published as the collection "In the World of Personal Computers"), which was released by the Soviet-American joint venture Information Computer Enterprise. In 1990 completed a course of heads of publishing business in IDG corporation. In 1991 it is appointed the Chief Editor of the Russian version of the computer magazine PC Magazine created then.

In 1994 became one of founders and the president of the Business and Computer publishing house afterwards renamed in "Profi-Press", publishing the Bankovskiye Tekhnologii and Mir kartochek magazines. As of the beginning of the 2010th years two magazines "BOSS" direct publishing house as the president, in a portfolio of publishing house ("Business: the organization, strategy, systems") and "Mobile telecommunications" and also online edition "Bliki" (in 2003 — 2008 there was its printing version).

• The member of the Union of journalists of Russia, is awarded with the medal "300 years of the Russian journalism". One of founders of the Union of translators of Russia, was his secretary and the board member.

• The doctor of applied linguistics (DAppLing), according to the International standard classification of formation of UNESCO. Diploma of the International academic accreditation and certification committee.

He is married, the son and the daughter.
