On May 25, 2021, Merlion told TAdviser that an employee of their company Igor Vladimirovich Solntsev, who until recently was the head of the VAD division (Value Added Distribution), had passed away. The VAD division includes project distribution of IT solutions and various Merlion business areas in the field of IT services. With the total revenue of Merlion in 2020, 415 billion rubles for the VAD division accounts for 25.2%, i.e. about 105 billion rubles.

In recent weeks, Igor Solntsev was in the hospital where he was treated.

In the obituary, Merlion notes that Igor has already come to the company as a recognized professional as a procurement director and has done a lot for Merlion, first of all he played a key role in the formation and development of the direction of project distribution.

For seven years in such a high position, he managed to repeatedly increase the business of his division and make him one of the leaders in Merlion. In total, Igor Solntsev gave our company more than 14 years of his life, - they say in Merlion.

In his work, Igor has always been a maximalist, both in achieving results and in creating better conditions for his employees. All colleagues and partners noted his authority, strategic thinking and leadership qualities. For many Merlion employees, he was an example and career guide as a great professional and successful top manager. Colleagues recall him as a strict, but absolutely fair leader.

Igor left a wife and two adult children. Despite the constant employment of working affairs, he tried to spend time with his family at every opportunity. They traveled a lot together. Everyone who was friends and knew Igor notes his wonderful sense of humor. They speak of him as a good friend, a fond person with his head and a great connoisseur of good music, "Merlion said in a statement.

Employees and management of Merlion express sincere condolences to Igor's relatives and will provide all necessary support to the family.

In July of this year, Igor would have turned 55 years old. We will miss him, the company said.
