On September 9, 2014 the T-Platforms company, the Russian developer of supercomputers, provided domestic server development of E-Slass based on processors of new generation Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 (the code name Haswell-EP). E-Slass represents the universal, flexibly configured server platform developed in Russia and intended for creation of rack servers with different functionality.
E-Slass — the offer of the server platform of the Russian development, the first in the history of the domestic IT market, in the White Box format for the traditional sales channel - distributors, integrators, producers and resellers which were earlier building solutions based on exclusively foreign server platforms. The company acts as the general partner on distribution of the platform 3Logic. Domestic manufacturers of servers — the companies DEPO Computers, Kraftway and Aquarius, prepare for release server solutions for end users under own brands based on the Russian E-Class platform. The announcement of the platform took place along with official world start of new generation of microprocessors Intel.
The platform is made at the plants of Southeast Asia, however thanks to the constructive solutions put in it its production can be localized in Russia that is going to be performed within 6-9 months. Development T-Platforms of E-Class — essentially new step of domestic manufacturers to full import substitution of hardware computer technologies.

The E-Class platform allows to build rack servers of a form factor 2U with support to 2 Intel Xeon processors E5-2600 v3 with a frequency up to 2.6 GHz, quantity of cores to 16 and energy consumption up to 135 W that allows to reach peak capacity to 1.4 TFLOPS (when using Intel® TurboBoost technology). The solution supports up to 256 GB of memory of DDR4 with perspective of expansion to 512 GB next year. New DDR4 standard allows to increase capacity of memory to 50% and to twice improve its energy efficiency. The motherboard supports two network ports of the BASE-T Ethernet standard with capacity of 1 GB / with or 10 GB / page. The server based on E-Class can contain up to 16 HDD/SSD disks SATA3/SAS up to 6 TB in a form factor 2.5' and 3.5' (from them 15 — with "hot swap"). Effective heat extraction in the chassis is provided with 4 fans with regulated rotating speed to 10500 RPM, a time between failures of 40,000 hours (4.5 years) and the possibility of "hot swap" which perfectly proved T-Platforms in supercomputers. Intellectual control of the platform is exercised using the BMC controller with support of the IPMI 2.0 interface. The managing payment supports installation of modules of a trusted boot in a form factor of mPCIe meeting the requirements of FSTEC and FSB for the data protection which is a trade or state secret.
The E-Class server platform can be delivered with the additional install sets allowing to optimize a configuration of servers on a ratio the price/performance for different scenarios of use. The basic configuration supports up to 3 expansion cards PCIe Gen3 and allows to organize the hardware and/or program disk array on 8 or 12 disks. Based on this configuration the mail server and the productive application server, the failsafe database server and the server of virtualization of initial level can be created. Increase in number of expansion cards up to 7 will allow to create the solution for processing in real time of large volumes of data, for example, of a streaming video. Creation of an array from 16 disks with 4 expansion cards will allow to organize the data storage server for cloud environments. A possibility of installation to 2 coprocessors or graphic accelerators and also payments of interconnect of the InfiniBand standard allow to construct a high-end corporate server of virtualization or the solution for high-performance computing of initial level.
