The TONK group, the Russian producer of thin clients and terminal solutions, released in September, 2014 the computer of new generation running MS Windows Embedded Standard 7 RUS OS (64 bit). The ultracompact WINBOX2 and WINBOX3 desktop computers are already available on sale.
WINBOX is the computer of the Russian production without moving parts using the principle of ambient cooling. By production WINBOX the components intended for industrial computers where performance and non-failure operation of work is crucial are used.
Protected from viruses thanks to EWF (Enhanced Write Filter - protection of the register, a system and the disk module against record), WINBOX is full replacement to usual office or home desktop PC. For use as the home computer it is recommended to connect the external drive or external storage with the hard drive installed in it to the device.
WINBOX is completely ready to work "from a box". On it minimum necessary set of application programs for effective office work - Internet Explorer 11, the Windows Media Player12 player, etc. is preset. All softwares it is completely localized. The last critical updates of the operating system which provides compatibility with constantly growing set of the equipment and peripheral devices are also set. For convenience of work in the environment of virtualization with remote applications, desktops on WINBOX clients of RDP 8.1, Vmware Horizon View Client 5.3.0., Citrix Reciever 14.1 are set. Support of Adobe Flash Player 11 ActiveX is provided. For local and remote two-factor authentication it is possible to use JaCarta Client 6.30.06 (the producer Aladdin of RD).
WINBOX2 is constructed based on the AMD T40N 1GHZ processor with support of APU, has RAM of 4 Gb DDRIII and the industrial disk module with a capacity of 16 Gb (DOM).
WINBOX3 is more powerful, is executed based on the AMD T56N 1.65GHZ processor with support of APU and can output video in the Ultra HD mode through Display Port with the resolution up to 2560 × 1600@30bpp and also has 2 network Gigabit Ethernet interfaces that allows to use it in heterogeneous networks, for example — demilitarized and protected (networks with the raised trust degree).
