Biography

Vitaly Shtyrkin is a graduate of Moscow Technical University of Informatics and Communications, has an academic degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. Vitaly gained the diploma of MBA at the International business school of Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation.

Vitaly Shtyrkin has work experience in the field of telecommunications.

• Till 2006 Mr. Shtyrkin headed division on product development of the telecom operator of Golden Telecom.
• Then he joined a team of the global supplier of telecommunication solutions and services of BT Global Services (British Telecom international division) where from 2007 to 2011 he was engaged in start of the Russian business of the company, managed a portfolio of company services in Russia, started new services in countries of Eastern Europe and the Scandinavian countries.
• From 2011 to 2013 Vitaly Shtyrkin headed in Russia telecommunication practice of consulting division of BT Telconsult (since 2012 BT Advise for Communications).
• From 2013 to August, 2014 Mr. Shtyrkin headed department on business process optimization of the VimpelCom Russia company where he was engaged in increase in efficiency of the operator.
• Orange Business Services announced in September, 2014 Vitaly Shtyrkin's appointment the director of business transformation and internal audit. Vitaly will head newly created division which will be engaged in increase in company performance, to work on improvement of business processes.
• In August, 2019 the international service provider Orange Business Services announced Vitaly Shtyrkin's appointment to a position of the director of investments and innovations in Russia and the CIS. Its main goal at this position - development of the innovation capacity of Orange in Russia. Vitaly is responsible for a number of the directions which should contribute to the development of new technologies in Russia. One of tasks of the director of investments and innovations is cooperation with key participants of the Russian market of innovations, including technology startups and institutes of development. Other important direction – implementation of approach of open innovations for development of a portfolio of services of Orange in Russia. In particular, for this purpose it is going to open a startup accelerator. Its start is aimed, first of all, at joint development of IT solutions with technology startups of the Russian Federation and implementation of such solutions in the largest Russian and international companies — clients of Orange. Vitaly is also engaged in search of opportunities for investment into the Russian startups and the innovative companies working in such spheres, key for Orange, as Internet of Things, cloud solutions, the analysis of Big Data, artificial intelligence and cyber security. One more task of Vitaly - opening of global markets for the Russian innovative companies.
