Megapolis Group implemented Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2012 for completion of a resource management system of the SAP ERP enterprise

On September 29, 2014 Megapolis Group implemented in the IT infrastructure Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2012 for maintenance and development of a system of operational management and several accompanying business applications on different platforms. Transition to more comfortable and functional platform increased transparency of process management of development, allowed to increase significantly quality of its planning and management. Project managers had an opportunity to create summary reports on the level of load of members of the commands that helps them to distribute better tasks and to control the project progress.

Since 2008 the company used the SAP ERP system, by own forces adapting it to features of the sphere of the activity. In addition to the SAP solution, in the company applied systems created by developers based on Microsoft Visual Studio of .NET and JAVA. Growth of the enterprise and increase in load of IT department required the uniform management tool projects. Earlier Megapolis Group used Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2005 and 2010. The new version of a product became a best tool for development process control as includes more flexible tools for management of development and creation of business processes by a technique of MSF for Agile. Management of testing, in turn, was implemented on the basis of the module Test Professional which is a part of the Visual Studio of 2012.

Migration of ERP systems of Megapolis Group was executed by the Microsoft partner, SoftServe company. Data transfer was performed on the weekend thanks to what development processes were not broken.

Further the company is going to use Team Foundation Server 2012 for formation of project teams. According to the management of Megapolis Group, it will provide accounting of employee occupation in several projects at once and will help to create a uniform pool of resources of the enterprise.
