The city administration of Richmond unrolled the international library network on the Active Textbook platform

On September 30, 2014 19 specially configured servers of the open Active Textbook platform by request of city administration of Richmond became known of the project of connection in the USA, Canada and Great Britain. Integrator in the project Evident Point Software Corp company.

Project Results

As a result of project implementation more than 5 thousand users – creators of electronic textbooks, had an opportunity to enrich the editions with a multimedia content, the simplified diagram of use of electronic publications became available to consumers.

Feature of the project – a full integration of electronic content with the main subject directory of library: electronic materials are catalogued and become automatically available to readers based on standard search in the subject heading list of library. In 2014 specialists of Evident Point Software Corp. implemented new formats for preparation and distribution of publications (including ePUB3) and also released the offline-applications which are specially adapted to system terms of use in libraries.
