Softline: IaaS on Azure Pack

Iaas on Azure Pack is the hosting solution of Softline company on the Microsoft Windows Azure Pack platform in own "cloud".

On September 30, 2014 the Softline company announced start of a new product for the Russian users. Now clients of the company can receive hi-tech service in placement of IT applications, the high-loaded websites, databases.

Advantages

The technology allows to carry out migration of physical and virtual servers to "cloud" in short terms. Power of computing cloud resources is not limited and ready to any loadings, the company provider stated. The hardware of IT infrastructure of the customer is unavailable to other cloud users. Management of virtual data center is implemented using the web portal. According to assurances of the company, "cloud" of Softline is absolutely safe:

• for creation of the technological platform data centers not lower than the Tier-3 level are used,
• the equipment of vendors Cisco, EMC, NetApp is used,
• physical access to the equipment is controlled,
• the encoded communication channels are used,
• access isolation.

The service is convenient for software developers - the platform has wide functionality of automation. In addition to templates of virtual machines, their roles from gallery which allow to reduce time for deployment of standard infrastructure services to a minimum are available.

The clients using Microsoft Azure from DPC in Ireland can pass to Softline service in connection with new amendments to the legislation on personal data protection as will be able to use further a usual control interface, but at the same time will resolve the problem connected with the requirement of normotvorets about need of data storage of users in the territory of Russia.

Its distinctive feature are unique opportunities on creation of hybrid "clouds": a part of infrastructure is in a cloud of Softline in Russia, a part - in Microsoft Azure, and a part on own servers in the organization (when using virtualization from Microsoft). All data from different resources regardless of their arrangement can be consolidated in a uniform control panel, and the virtual machine - to transfer from one segment to another. Use of IT infrastructure of cloud providers allows clients to charge necessary support and service and to considerably cut down expenses on its contents", - Leonid Anikin, the head of cloud IT infrastructure of Softline company told.
