A modular data center is a modular design designed to accommodate computing equipment, implemented on the principle of a modular building. The modular data center is equipped with the necessary engineering infrastructure to ensure uninterrupted power supply and heat removal from the equipment; fire-fighting, safety and dispatching systems. Like any modular building, the GreenMDC module consists of blocks - "cubes" that are manufactured in production, delivered on public roads without special permits and assembled at the site into a finished structure. If necessary, it can be disassembled into blocks and transported to another site.

A commercial data center, unlike an enterprise, can be filled with equipment for a long time, while, from the point of view of organizing a commercial data center as an efficient business, it is important to reduce initial investments to a reasonable minimum, be able to expand quickly and safely for the existing infrastructure, and use energy efficient technologies with a payback period of no more than 3-4 years (more than half of data center maintenance costs are energy costs). In the case of placing equipment in a commercial data center, the client can accurately plan his costs, he does not need to have his own data center and take care of the maintenance and repair of engineering equipment.

The production of GreenMDC World Data Centres is located in the village of Fedorovskoye (Tosnensky district of the Leningrad region). It was possible to increase its capacity by renting additional space. Initially, this location was chosen taking into account the scaling of production if necessary. This is a large production cluster with transport accessibility, understandable logistics and a large number of shops available for rent, which will allow further increase in production capacity in a short time.

A full production cycle of prefab data centers GreenMDCs is organized here: structural manufacturing, installation and testing of engineering systems. Thanks to the increase in capacity, the company will be able to increase the production speed and at the same time produce a larger volume of products from different production areas, both small and large scalable World Data Centres.

The decision to expand production space is in line with data center market trends. Both the number of data centers (both capital and modular) and the number of racks in them are growing. This is caused by the ever-increasing amount of information in need of processing. According to our data, in 2024 the market grew more than 1.5 times, from 2.25 to 3.5 billion rubles. Some experts predict by 2030 the achievement of an indicator of 4.3 billion rubles. We are ready for such a development of events and try to satisfy all the needs of our customers. 2022: Moving to the site in the Leningrad region

GreenMDC, a Russian manufacturer of modular data centers, announced on October 10, 2022 that it was expanding production facilities. The company moved to a new production site, its size is almost 2.5 times the previous one. This will increase the volume of simultaneously produced data centers by 3 times, as well as increase the efficiency of production processes.

The site for assembling World Data Centres GreenMDC is located in the Leningrad Region, in the urban village of Fedorovskoye, Tosnensky District, on a plot of 1.5 hectares. The full production cycle will be located on the site, including the manufacture of structural, installation and testing of engineering systems. Scaling production will allow the company to significantly increase the size and number of simultaneously produced products.

In 2022, we are seeing an almost twofold increase in orders from both commercial companies and government customers. At the same time, the demand for scalable solutions in the 30-200 rack segment increased, which indicates the demand for pre-manufactured data centers of this size. I believe this is due to the awareness of the large value of the time factor (when using pre-made solutions, the creation of a data center for 30-200 racks will take no more than 7-8 months), as well as high quality products, which can only be ensured in production conditions. Therefore, we decided to move to a new production site, the area of ​ ​ which is almost 2.5 times larger than the previous one. This will allow us to increase both the size and the number of products produced simultaneously.
