2014: Release of the MIG ST1N2 tablet

The Russian producer "Mobile Inform Group" announced in October, 2014 release of the MIG ST1N2 tablet adapted to the Russian conditions. Executed based on Symbol ET1N2, innovation received a number of the program and hardware improvements allowing to use it for employees of mobile and exit groups of law enforcement agencies, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, ambulance and medical assistant's crews, employees of the enterprises of an oil and gas complex, power grid power, etc.

MIG ST1N2 is the protected tablet constructed based on processed operating system Android 4.1. The seven-inch frost-resistant and shock-resistant screen is protected by the Gorila Glass® glass, and the device is performed according to industry standards for difficult conditions and intensive operation. The tablet has an internal metal frame for fastening of elements which provides shock resistance when falling from height of 1.5 meters on concrete, on 26 falling on each of the parties, in the included status in any temperature range. The device works at a temperature from - 20C to + 50C, maintains shock temperature differences in 90 degrees Celsius (from - 20C to + 70C) without educations condensates inside. The body is hermetic: the tablet is not afraid of falling in a pool, freezing, dirt hit. All connectors - industrial execution, expected 5-7 years of continuous operation.

Developers proceeded from need providing continuous, often round-the-clock operation of the device, each element of the tablet is picked up for optimal accomplishment of the tasks facing it. The tablet has dual core architecture with clock rate of the processor 1000 MHz, 1 GB of operational and 8 GB of the internal memory (+32 Gb microSD). Unlike top models of consumer devices, the specialized device is manufactured so that to consume as little as possible energy, not much to cost and ensure stable functioning of the functioning applications for the solution of specific working objectives. Energy efficiency of the tablet such is that allows the device to work on one charge of batteries in an active mode of 7.5 hours at - 20C and 12 hours at the room temperature. In case of round-the-clock operation, the continuity of processes is provided easily removable batteries, with the "hot swap" function which returns the application in a starting point after replacement of batteries.

Communication opportunities of the tablet allow to work in mobile networks of data transmission 3G/HSPA+ (in the future 4G/LTE), is equipped Wi-Fi with module 802.11a/b/g/n and Bluetooth. The device has port of expansion of functionality for connection to it of the scanner shaped codes or the reader of proximity cards (+ to 4 sam-modules). For use of location-based services the device is equipped with chips GPS and optionally GLONASS, working in the mode of the differential amendment that in the presence of ground stations gives an error no more than 1 meter. For implementation high-precision positioning chips and circuit engineering of domestic manufacturer – CB NAVIS were used.

In addition to basic protective equipment, the tablet received also additional. Specialists of Mobile Inform Group company developed changes in construction of the device which increased its shock resistance and made the tablet frost-resistant. Normal tablets or notebooks often break, the rare device maintains 1.5 years of work, and the MIG complex allows to do without additional operating expenses within three years of operation.

MIG ST1N2 is a hardware and software system for which it was created several original software solutions ensuring functioning of executive authorities and enterprises of a different profile. The tablet can be connected to the distributed information infrastructures, work with remote data, with its help it is possible to keep account of material stocks. At the same time data transmission in a protect mode is provided – innovation is in the final stage of certification of FSB on a class of data protection of KC1 (confidential information and personal data).

In particular, the protected mobile complex is convenient for use by traffic police officers who carry out the most part of service on departure. The tablet allows them to receive data from the federal database in any point at observance of all security requirements of data. By means of MIG tablets together with mobile thermal printers inspectors can quickly check motor transport according to databases of administrative violations, print protocols and administrative documents, without departing from the violator's machine. At the same time time of the routine transactions connected with document creation is several times reduced.
