On October 20, 2014 ABBYY announced end of the first stage of implementing solutions, joint with Docflow Best Practice company, for stream input of data in Megapolis group.
Project Tasks
Annually accounting of Megalopolis processes about 270 thousand pages of incoming documents and 14.3 million – outgoing. It is difficult to work with such volume manually and the company rented warehouses for document storage, but they not always contained in proper conditions. Document handling in such storage mode is complicated: there were cases when documents spoiled or lost. To resolve questions of storage and processing, to cut down expenses, it was required to create electronic archive with a possibility of automatic information input and search of the necessary data.
The company uses a corporate information system SAP ERP and creation of electronic archive on the SAP platform became the natural solution.
As the contractor the management of Megapolis Group selected Docflow Best Practice company. For acceleration of data entry in the accounting system the customer selected products of ABBYY company.
Project Progress
Using a system on the platform ABBYY Scan Station and ABBYY Recognition Server which by means of solutions DFS Import Manager DFS Card Generator is also integrated with the electronic archive created on the platform SAP also using the solutions DFS it was succeeded to cut down expenses on accounting and it is essential to improve control over the entering document flow.
Project Results
"Our accountants note that documents ceased to be lost, and their search borrows much less time now. Accountant officers can find more time for significant tasks now", – Larisa Omelchuk, the head of department of accounting and the reporting of Megapolis Group noted.
The stage of the project is completed in four months.
