National Cable Communications Media upgrades DPC

On October 21, 2014 the Extreme Networks company announced use of the high-performance Extreme Networks switches by National Cable Communications (NCC) Media corporation for upgrade of a data processing center and its reduction in compliance with standards of DPC of new generation.

Studying and analyzing solutions, available in the market, the NCC NCC Media company stopped the choice on the Extreme Networks switches for data processing centers, on the BlackDiamond X8 platform for creation of high-speed network infrastructure of 10/40/100 Gigabit. It provides support of the abnormal NCC Media systems, work of external offices, functioning of reserve and main data processing centers.

Project Progress

The NCC Media company implemented the BlackDiamond X8 switch for cloud data processing centers with a high density of ports, with support of switching at a speed, the corresponding data transmission medium, and working at speed 10GbE and 100GbE, for connection of the periphery and a core of network.

Switches and the software of Extreme Networks helped to automate processes of configuring and initialization of services, facilitating technical support, providing simplicity of implementation and operation.

NCC Media implemented the scalable full-function tool for network management and services allowing to manage on a centralized basis all elements of network in scales of all enterprise. All updates, patches, changes in a configuration and monitoring of the devices working in NCC Media network are easily controlled using the single console of management.

Project Results

Use of the Extreme Networks switches and the corporate software of BlackDiamond helped NCC Media company to achieve effective work of a data processing center.
