"The Moscow regional bureau of technical inventory" will reorganize SCS

On October 28, 2014 it became known of the project of creation of a system of the high level of availability by request of SUE MO MOBTI on the basis of the LAN core module using virtual switching of Cisco VSS implemented on the platform of the Cisco switches Catalyst 4500-X in a failsafe configuration. The project was executed by Netcube company.

Project Tasks

Work in the market of the high competition imposes quality requirements of the provided services. Therefore the main questions which should be solved in the project progress of creation of information infrastructure became:

• availability,
• fault tolerance
• scalability.

Partners selected the modern, highly reliable system of virtual switching Cisco VSS from the project.

Project Progress

Decrease in operating costs of communication channels is reached by means of creation of a subsystem of a virtual private network for the organization of dynamic VPN channels over the Internet using DMVPNDynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network technology ^[1].

Creation of a subsystem of a public network access (DMZ) on the basis of hardware Cisco ASA 5525-X firewalls with functionality of an intrusion prevention system of IPS allowed to achieve smooth operation of the MOBTI payment system.

For increase in level of information security, including ensuring protection of e-mail from virus and spam of the attacks, security of users at net surfing the Internet, the solutions Cisco WSA, Cisco ESA and Cisco ISE are implemented. Systems are unrolled on the Cisco UCS C220 c servers by use of technology of virtualization of applications based on a hypervisor of VMware of ESXi. The selected technologies allowed to lower SUE MO MOBTI total ownership cost IT infrastructure, to increase controllability and to consolidate information resources.

Project Results

Fall forward and the quality level of response to failures in provision of services are reached by means of creation of a subsystem of monitoring of events on the basis of the solution of SolarWinds. Management of all information resources is conducted on a centralized basis, templates of connection of new branches are developed and approved.
