The KOMUS company is created in 1991. Today TPO "KOMUS" takes the leading positions in the Russian market of office and office supplies, is one of the largest suppliers of paper and cardboard in Russia.
At the end of 2007 the KOMUS company on sales volume occupies in Russia more than 30% of the market of office paper, 15% of stationery, 16% of the market of polygraphic sorts of paper and cardboard. KOMUS wins first place in the market of production and sale of plastic packaging - 25% of the market.
KOMUS develops own production at 7 factories on production of food packaging, office goods and paper, a fax and check tape.
KOMUS wins first place on a scope of corporate clients in commodity market for office – 64% of capital and 35% regional the markets. Develops network of contact centers on service of corporate partners. The company locates in the industry the largest retail and regional network in Russia - the 70th brand store in Moscow and regions, 17 regional representative offices.
Number of staff – over 4,200 people.
At the end of 2007 KOMUS was included into the rating of 200 largest Russian companies of the Forbes magazine. In 2007 top managers of the company entered the rating of "1000 best top managers of Russia" of Association of managers of the Russian Federation.
Along with other projects of TPO "KOMUS", in 1995 the division KOMUS packaging was created. In December, 1997 in Golitsyno (The Odintsovo district) own production of disposable plastic packaging was open for foodstuff. Further regional sales points based on TPO "KOMUS", general for all commodity directions of representations, were open.
In 1999 based on instrumental section the Service of preparation of production is created. Today in its structure: the design department and the tool shop providing with forms of all 5 factories.
In 2001 strategic decision is made on creation in the territory of the Russian Federation of regional production and logistic modules, and in 2002 the branch of the Odintsovo factory "KOMUS packaging" in the city of Maloyaroslavets of the Kaluga region is open.
In February, 2004 in Maloyaroslavetsky branch "KOMUS packaging" starts the extrusion line and begins to make a polystyrine film for own factories. In May of the same year - the Ural factory "KOMUS packaging" - the third in the program of regional modules opens.
In April, 2005 the Educational and methodical center for preparation and advanced training of staff of factories begins to work.
In July, 2005 the fourth regional module - the Siberian factory "KOMUS packaging" opens.
In a year, in 2007, the fifth production site in the village of Kuschevskaya of Krasnodar Krai is open.
In 2008 the major project – the construction of the Russia's first plant on production of BOPS of a tape begun in 2006 entered a closing stage. Implementation of this project will allow the company to provide independently with raw materials the production, to simplify logistics and to reach qualitatively new level of opportunities.
