X5 Retail Group started works on process automation of implementation of salvage and hiring of an outside personnel

On October 24, 2018 the TeamIdea company reported that X5 Retail Group (retail chain stores Pyaterochka, Intersection, Roundabout) started works on automation within the SAP solution of electronic document management (EDO) used in the company on implementation processes of salvage and hiring of an outside personnel. TeamIdea became the company performing implementation.

Projects are implemented within the strategy of X5 Retail Group on gradation on electronic document management of priority activities. This strategy allows to reduce costs for control and reconciliation of settlement, to increase transparency and efficiency of the automated processes.

Automation is performed using solutions SAP ERP and SAP PI and also integration with operators of services e-document flows. According to the working schedule, the productive start of the developed functionality regarding implementation of salvage is planned for the end of 2018, regarding hiring of an outside personnel — for the second quarter 2019. Several dozens of employees of profile departments of the automated processes of the Corporate Center X5 Retail Group will be users of the updated functionality.

2014

On November 12, 2014 the GMCS company announced own participation in the project of transition X5 Retail Group to new architecture of the integration solution on SAP PI platform 7.31.

Project objectives - to increase reliability and efficiency of data exchange, to minimize risks for business because of the possible problems connected with integration - the retailer works at the SAP platform.

Within the project are optimized and postponed for SAP PI 7.31 more than 250 scenarios of integration with external systems. SAP These are systems (ERP HR BW), the information systems of EDI providers providing document flow with suppliers, about 1 thousand trading and warehouse systems, a management system for supply chains, a single system of the normative reference information.

The system of switching of information flows between several servers of integration of a single system SAP PI which are independent runtime environments of integration processes is developed for reduction of risk of operation.

"The specifics of integration processes of X5 consist available the peak periods within a day when traffic increases in tens of times. For business extremely important that delivery time at the same time cardinally did not change. As a result, the integration bus should have sufficient performance successfully to fulfill similar splashes. In the new version of SAP PI we completely refused ABAP and and passed to more effective JavaOnly-scenarios considerably increasing the overall performance of a system. And the distributed architecture of the bus allows the company to reduce to zero time of scheduled downtimes and possible system failures in work of SAP PI", – Andrey Ustinov, the head of department of integration solutions X5 of Retail Group told.

As a result of transition X5 company received the distributed data bus with a "zero" downtime and the capacity exceeding pressing needs in data transmission.
