History

The TOP-50 publishing house, until the end of 2010 carried the name IDES "Dog". It stood at the origins Veronika Belotserkovskaya famous later as the popular blogger and the author of three recipe-books, and Anatoly Belkin, the painter and the diagram.

1999: Start of the СПб.Собака.ru magazine

The foundation to everything was laid in December, 1999 by the monthly "for СПб.Собака.ru. The magazine about people of St. Petersburg" which gained popularity at once and reached a steady position in the market of the press of St. Petersburg. And its popularity is quite proved, to some extent this magazine changed idea of gloss in Russia. Even having just read the name, it is possible to understand that St. Petersburg, according to the magazine, is not only ancient architecture and rich history. It is the city filled with interesting people with the new ideas, the city in which constantly something occurs. Here about it is that the city forward – the magazine moves and writes.

During this period of "Собака.ru" takes an independent stand on everything that occurs in a fashion, culture and business. The magazine gives familiar subjects in a new way, and shows the famous characters from an unexpected side. The best journalists and photographers of St. Petersburg and Moscow work with it. Talented writers, artists and illustrators take part in creation of each number. The magazine tells both about city life, and about the top global trends, the phenomena and heroes and therefore it is equally relevant both in St. Petersburg, and beyond its limits.

2004: Obtaining license for the Time Out edition

At the beginning of 2004 the publishing house signed the agreement with Time Out Group on the edition right according to the license for territories of the CIS and the Baltic countries of the world famous Time Out brand. The first Time Out left in London in 1968. At this time the Time Out magazines appear in the largest cities of the world: London, New York, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Beijing, etc. A subject of all these magazines - the overview of movies, club parties, exhibitions, theatrical performances, book new products. In 2009 the guides which are also published worldwide under the Time Out brand also were connected to the project. Their local journalists who know the cities "from within" create.

As well as "Собака.ru", the Time Out magazine is well-known for the events. "Time Out of the Menu and the Account" is a Russian-language name of the restaurant award Time Out Eating & Drinking Awards which was handed for the first time in London more than 20 years ago. Then New York, Chicago and other cities in which the Time Out magazines are issued joined London. The debut of the award "Time Out of the Menu and Account" took place in 2005 in St. Petersburg, and then and in Moscow - in 2006. This event became the major in the field of restaurant business of St. Petersburg and the gastronomic industry in general.

2008: Regional program of the Собака.ру magazine

In 2008 the Собака.ру magazine successfully started the regional program and for the agreement with local publishing houses is issued according to the license in 11 million-plus cities of Russia: Yekaterinburg, Samara, Rostov-on-Don, Ufa, Perm, Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Omsk, Kazan and Krasnodar. Having reached the regional level, the magazine managed to combine successfully in itself both federal, and local editorial contents.

At this time the magazine is the founder and the organizer of an annual city award "Собака.ru the TOP 50. The best-known people of St. Petersburg", carries out "Etiquette clubs", Aficionada, "An interior award", Insomnia, "the Party of the 80th", Sobaka.RUS, Beaujolais Nouveau, "Velvet season" and many other actions.
