The city administration of Lipetsk uses technologies of virtualization for equipment of jobs

On November 14, 2014 it became known of use of technologies of virtualization of Microsoft in [[|City administration of Lipetsk|city administration of Lipetsk]] for access to server operating systems and workstations in virtual environment, as in internal to network of the organization, and via the Internet from personal mobile devices worldwide.

Project Progress

Implementing solution was carried out in three steps. At the first stage test infrastructure of virtual desktops of Microsoft is created, their integration with Microsoft Office 365 is implemented. It allowed to save considerably means on personnel training as products of Microsoft are familiar to many users.

Within the second stage start of Windows Server 2012 R2, scalable platform for cloud environments and DPCs which simplified process of providing virtual resources for mobile devices is implemented.

The third stage of implementation was devoted to the Microsoft Office 365 setup, including: Office Pro Plus, including Outlook 2013, Skydrive Pro. During implementation the feature for use of service of instant messages Lync, equally well and steadily working on the PC, Mac, tablets and phones is added.

"The main advantage of operation of a system its simplicity and low cost, but – that is important – not to the detriment of quality and functional system performance", - Vladimir Usachev, the head of information technology of city administration of Lipetsk noted.
