"Moscow City Telephone Network" upgrades management of subscriber databases

On November 19, 2014 JSC Moscow City Telephone Network announced integration of address databases of IT systems into a uniform subsystem.

System developers in the project: department of information technologies of MGTS and NVision Group Ltd.

Project Tasks

The new system "Uniform Address Database" is developed for synchronization of the existing databases of MGTS (billing, monitoring of network, management of requests, linear personnel, sales, etc.) with data of BTI, Mosgorgeotresta, a federal information address system.

IT solution will help to increase efficiency of specialists of the Center of scheduling of MGTS working at the SAP Workforce Management platform due to use of services of a geolocation and metadata about all buildings of Moscow that allows to optimize routes of linear and erection teams and to cut time of their arrival into place for a fault repair by half.

Integration of separate data into a single system and use of the Big Data tools will help MGTS to create individual service offerings for subscribers, to increase service quality and flexibility of management of work of personnel, to reserve and make more harmonious work of IT systems of the company.

Project Results

"Today the integration problem between different IT systems and effective management of arrays of customer information is particularly acute for all large telecom operators. For implementation of this task MGTS created the innovation architecture of the database which allows to manage customer information within a single scalable platform and is base for strategy implementation of MGTS on transformation into the multiservice operator" — Evgeny Kanayev, the CIO of MGTS noted.
