SAP Workforce Management is a management system for working time of employees, planning of working shifts.

SAP WFM supports business resource management processes:

  • Forecast
  • Data management of workers
  • Planning
  • Analytics

The SAP solution Workforce Management helps to manage flexibly working time of employees, providing accomplishment of functions:

  • Forecasting of the indicators influencing workload (volume indicators):
  • Example of indicators of volume – the number of checks, the number of consultations etc.
  • The forecast is under construction on the basis of these last periods. Historical data can be loaded from external systems
  • The forecast can be performed on the basis of different algorithms, for example, calculation of an average or calculation for a trend
  • Adjustment of the forecast

Calculation of workload

  • Workload is requirement in number of employees in each timepoint who should work in specific work area
  • When calculating workload qualifications of personnel are considered


Conducting budget restrictions

  • The Budget Restrictions service allows managers to adjust workload so that to plan costs of the working schedule created by a system, without being beyond the budget


Formation and adjustment of working schedules

  • Flexible working schedules form on the basis of the calculated workload, taking into account rules of work of shops, different events (meetings, training, etc.) and wishes of employees on operating time


Registration and statement of the actual working hours

  • Registration and correction of the actual working time of employees is performed in SAP iTime Clock. A system allows to register time of arrival and leaving, the beginning and the termination of breaks

  • It is possible both registration of the actual time manually by the manager, and integration with the ACS systems

After adjustment the actual working hours can be transferred to HCM SAP ERP for further formation of the sheet of working time
