On December 2, 2014 the Ricoh company announced the organization of direct service support of the printing equipment for the scheme "cliques contract" in departments and services of Moscow Metro.
Project Tasks
The park of the printing Mosmetro equipment is created in terms of long-term economy – the basis of infrastructure was formed by printers and the Ricoh MFP. However, during audit of expenses on the IT system of the company specialists of data processing center of the subway detected - maintenance costs of the equipment are quite high. Costs for service support consisted of payment of work of the engineers arriving according to single requests, expenses on spare parts in which purchase Mosmetro's specialists were engaged independently.
Control of a warehouse of supplies and document creation on purchase of spare parts consumed a large number of working time of employees. Represented a problem and waiting of arrival of the service engineer.
To arrange expenses and to increase quality of service, specialists of Mosmetro data processing center made the decision on signing of the contract on service of the equipment with one contractor. As the scheme of providing service the click contract was selected – the customer pays only actually made prints which quantity in a month is counted on the counters which are built in the MFP and printers for such agreement.
Project Progress
After audit of printing infrastructure of Mosmetro, Ricoh Rus offered attractive, within tender, the cost of cliques contract, with a guarantee of examination of engineers due to providing direct service.
Project Results
Engineers of Ricoh Rus support smooth operation more than 300 devices at six offices of Moscow Metro. At the same time for holding time of the park by the principle of cliques contract the total costs of Mosmetro of the maintenance of infrastructure for printing were reduced by 21%, time of reaction of engineers does not exceed 4 hours. Service maintenance according to the scheme "cliques contract" unloaded the staff of department of service and repair, financial services as document flow was reduced in tens of times.
"Expenses on service are absolutely transparent and predictable – now we can plan the budget with almost 100% accuracy, - Victor Nikitin, the head of department of service and repair of data processing center of Moscow Metro noted. - Considering that at the same time we use the most reliable and economic devices of Ricoh with the minimum cost of a print, we are sure that we do not spend superfluous for support of printing infrastructure".
