On December 12, 2014 the SAP CIS company announced the joint innovation project unrolled within business strategy by request of PJSC Severstal.


Project Tasks

Strategic priorities of PJSC Severstal – continuous improvement of customer service and operational processes, the integrated planning, implementation of new technologies.

The company executes the CIS's first project on use of mobile devices and means of operational planning for MRO (Maintenance and Repairs) on the platform SAP Multiresource Scheduling and SAP Work Manager. The main objectives of the project - process automation of planning and arrangement of personnel, transparency of works on service and repair of the equipment.


Project Progress

Arms of workers the mobile devices integrated with an enterprise management system - one of stages of the solution of the specified tasks.

Staff of repair divisions gains complete idea of a status of all nodes and systems in real time. The gap between data acquisition and reaction to them is reduced to a minimum: the inspector via the mobile device sends the received data on a status and operation of the equipment to managers on reliability and planning of repairs.

Project Results

According to the conclusion of partners, equipment downtimes because of low-quality maintenance were reduced by 3 times, by 16 times the frequency of identification of defects and faults at an early stage increased.

Mobile repairs and the integrated planning – the integrated projects directed to change of business processes in the company", - Yury Shekhovtsov, the Chief information officer of PJSC Severstal noted.
