On November 13, 2017 Rostelecom announced providing Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management in the Russian Federation branch with mobile communication.

Rostelecom provided an alternative channel of mobile communication for "Moscow Center of Automated Management of Air Traffic" branch "State corporation on air traffic management". The operator connected to a mobile network on the MVNO model of staff of the enterprise for all Russia.

The alternative channel of communication of the federal operator ensured smooth operation of a mobile network for the client. The complete solution will give the chance to the staff of Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management to use key mobile services for a low subscription fee. All calls in network of Rostelecom on stationary and mobile numbers for subscribers will be free.

2014: Implementation of services of the fixed telephony, Internet access and IP VPN

December 16, 2014. The Rostelecom company and Air Navigation of the Urals Branch of Federal State Unitary Enterprise State Corporation on Air Traffic Management in the Russian Federation announced completion of implementation of services of the fixed telephony, Internet access, the virtual IP VPN private network and also the organization of communication channels.

Goals and Objectives

The contract became continuation of long-term cooperation and will allow Air Navigation of the Urals Branch to perform activities for air traffic management even more effectively.

The branch provides the regular and safe movement of aircrafts in borders of six subjects of the Russian Federation: Udmurt Republic, Perm Krai, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Kirov regions. "Security of flights at air navigation service is one of the most important types of productive activity of the enterprise. Therefore for creation of a trusted network of communication of Branch as the main operator Rostelecom was selected. It is important that the IP VPN network provides the high level of data protection - all transferred and received data are exposed to enciphering with permanent change of keys that provides complete confidentiality of corporate data. At the same time use of VPN technology provides significant economy of enterprise assets in comparison with use of traditional technologies of communication.
