Digitization of unique local history documents of Priamurye continues

Within the regional program aimed at the development and preservation of culture of Priamurye, the Amursky regional scientific library of N.N. Muravyev-Amursky creates an electronic collection of the rare local history documents "Memory of Priamurye".

During the period from 2010 to 2014 more than 600 documents, from them more than 250 – rare local history materials among which – the old and damaged editions are digitized. For the purpose of expansion of the park of the scanning equipment the library purchased series B Planskan ELAR planetary scanner. It will allow to digitize as books and the stitched documents with back thickness up to 20 cm, and atlases, albums, periodicals of a big format (to A2).

Organization is the central library of the region – the largest directory, local history, methodical, the public cultural center of Priamurye. In its fund – more than 532 thousand documents. Today in library more than 26 thousand readers who have including remote access to its funds are written. The management of library attaches great value to processes of automation and information technology implementation: at the moment formation of the electronic directory, local history electronic directory and bibliographic databases continues.
