The equipment of Sheremetyevo is equipped with a monitoring system of transport and control of fuel consumption of Omnicomm

Since December, 2014 the equipment of the International airport "Sheremetyevo" is equipped with a monitoring system of transport and control of fuel consumption of Omnicomm. Airfield tractors, generators, passenger cars and buses – all 531 vehicles of the airport are equipped. Works were carried out by Omnicomm-Service company – the leading dealer of Omnicomm company.

The international airport "Sheremetyevo" is the largest Russian airport on service of regular international flights and the best airport of Europe on service quality in 2013 (the rating of the international study program of Airport Service Quality). Sheremetyevo imposes serious requirements to partners and waits from them high-quality for products and service. So, earlier on the equipment of the airport the monitoring system of transport and control of fuel consumption was installed, but a number of indicators did not suit company management. Data transmission and service support and also reliability of the equipment raised doubts.

In August, 2014 the tender for installation of other monitoring system was placed. In this project increase in accuracy and efficiency of transportation of passengers and baggage in a runway zone, an intensification of use of transport and establishing constant engineering control behind transport status were important. All these requirements are directed to optimization of work which will allow to lower significantly the costs connected with operation of transport and expenses on fuel and lubricants.

The Omnicomm-Service company became the winner of the tender. During the project specialists reflashed the equipment installed earlier and equipped new pieces of equipment. According to Alexander Kasarkin, the leading expert of department of the airport systems of Sheremetyevo, in the first days of operation a system showed the efficiency. "Fuel dump was recorded – it was made at night – and in the morning the staff of Sheremetyevo began investigation. Guilty persons were found – and the management was forced them to dismiss", – Igor Elsukov, the head of information and analysis department Omnicomm-Service described a situation.
