VimpelCom (a brand Beeline) announced in the summer of 2014 the first results of work powerful an antispam of the platform implemented by the Company for radical decrease in quantity of SPAM and ensuring reliable protection of subscribers Beeline from unauthorized SMS mailings from external networks.
ANTISPAM the Cloudmark platform was brought into test operation at the end of May, 2014. It represents an intellectual algorithm of monitoring SPAM mailings including the modern and patented algorithms of grouping of similar messages, the adaptive mechanism of identification of SPAM and also capability to identification of the difficult and distributed attacks.
The first month of beta testing showed 50% decrease in quantity of SPAM which is passed by other, less perfect filters. One day of work a platform antispam on average looks so: from external networks about 10.4 million SMS SPAM come to Beeline network that makes 26% of all external the SMS of traffic. Intellectual analysis algorithms of traffic allow to block about 95% of SPAM — messages, it is about 9.8 million. Thus, the end user is reached by no more than 5-6% of all volume of SPAM — the messages sent to Beeline network of external networks (data are provided for July 31, 2014). This indicator is 12 times lower, than in the fall of 2013, and Beeline intends to lower it still twice by October, 2014.
