BTK group started the virtualized DPC

On January 28, 2015 it became known of creation of the virtualized DPC of BTK group company on a technology platform of Fujitsu company.

Project Tasks

Project implementation was preceded by testing of the solutions of Fujitsu planned to implementation. Rather new concept of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) was used: physical PCs are replaced with an array of the virtual PCs deployed in DPC, access to which is provided from any client device, suitable for these purposes.

Project Progress

In IT infrastructure of BTK group placed VDI stations on the VMware platform.

The sets of VDI involved in the project unrolled on the Fujitsu BX900 S2 servers. The maximum density in the body and the highly effective power modules certified for 80Plus by Platinum and managed by the software of ServerView Power Management increase profitability of this solution for the client.

On the Fujitsu BX900 S2 servers takes place about 250 virtual machines that increases a working space and at the same time the blade servers of BX924 S3 using Intel Xeon processors of the latest E5-2650 8C 256 RAM family contributes to business development and also five (2 on 128). Considering a possibility of connection of several chassis and connection of switches in a uniform stack, a system allows to implement very flexible scaling and the simplified management. In a blade servers HDD therefore loading happens from Flash-drives to the preset hypervisor of VMware of ESXi are not used.

For data storage the disk storage system of ETERNUS DX90 S2 with the drives HDD SAS of 600 GB serves. When loading Windows OS 7 DWH of ETERNUS DX90 execute about 600 input-output operations per second, provides an opportunity at the same time to use ISCSI and FC and to make replication on the WAN channel. Besides, this DWH has the best parameters of a ratio the price/performance and has a five-year warranty from the moment of the beginning of operation.
