"The Ust-Kamenogorsk Reinforcing plant" constructed engineering training of production on 1C:PDM

Customers: Ust-Kamenogorsk Reinforcing Plant (UKRP)

Ust-Kamenogorsk; Gas industry

Contractors: Appius
Product: 1C:Enterprise 8. PDM Management of engineering data
На базе: 1C: ERP Enterprise Management 2.0

Project date: 2015/01

JSC UKAZ brought at the end of 2014 into commercial operation an automated system "1C:PDM Management of engineering data", integrated with a corporate information system of enterprise management of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management.

JSC Ust-Kamenogorsk Reinforcing Plant projects, develops, makes and performs delivery of a pipeline armature and the oil and gas equipment which find broad application on oil and gas objects of Russia, the states of the CIS and also in foreign countries. Products are made according to standards of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation, and its quality is confirmed with necessary permissions and certificates of conformity.

The implementation project was aimed at creation of a common information space for all participants of business processes of preparation and maintenance of production and increase in efficiency of functioning of a corporate information system for the transfer account of engineering data from design and technology divisions in production, financial and economic and even HR departments.

As work benches of design designers "DECREE" use the system of three-dimensional design SolidWorks. Therefore when choosing the platform for the organization of collective work the ability to integrate with a CAD system and also existence of functions of electronic approval of design-technology documentation was considered. "1C:PDM Management of engineering data" became the full-fledged environment of management of design-technology preparation of production and a link between engineers and a corporate information system.

Within an implementation project, for the purpose of fast system learning 1C:PDM, specialists of Appius company provided training of structural divisions, including rates: specialized for designers; specialized for technologists; staff of archive, administrators. Training was provided on the data of the enterprise which are previously entered into a system as a control example. Knowledge gained by specialists of the enterprise allowed the enterprise to reach qualitatively new level of training productions, excepting duplication of design-technology data, having come to the centralized information storage about the developed and made products in system 1C:PDM.

During an implementation project at the enterprise the following tasks were solved:

  • the uniform engineering reference book of design-technology data is created;
  • process of design preparation of production is organized;
  • the interrelation with CAD is configured by the SolidWorks system;
  • process of technology preparation of production is organized;
  • process of labor and material regulation is organized;
  • the electronic archive of storage of documentation is organized;
  • uniform rules and regulations of work of engineering services in a system are created;
  • providing up-to-date data on engineering training of production to the management of the enterprise;
  • seamless integration with the "Managements of 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management Manufacturing Enterprise" system is configured.

Boris Zolotaryov, development director of JSC Ust-Kamenogosky Reinforcing Plant: "Reasonableness of the interface and functionality, deep understanding of specifics of development of design-technology documentation together with tracking of current trends in development of the modern integrated information systems – here those reasons that do "1C:PDM Management of engineering data" by one of the few programs in the market in which marketing promises not strongly disperse from the actual functionality. And the openness of interfaces and ease of implementation will allow to start full operation 1C:PDM in the planned terms".
