KazTransOil completed data migration on SAP HANA

Project Tasks

• Assessment of security of business processes of Society with the current functionality of SAP.
• Conformity assessment of the completed and planned SAP projects to the current business processes, relevance of documentation and the actual use.
• Determination of requirements to the ERP system.
• Determination of a target functional and technical architecture of the ERP system.
• Cost estimation and benefits from implementation of target architecture.

Examination was conducted for the purpose of investment into actions for development of the ERP system taking into account best practices of SAP and development of the feasibility statement for improvement of SAP.

Project Results

On July 19, 2016 the SAP company announced development of the project owing to which, in March, 2016 JSC KazTransOil transferred a BW system to SAP HANA.

Migration is carried out with the assistance of the Center of SAP expertize in St. Petersburg (SAP CoE) within bonus support of SAP. Having begun with basic IT processes (ITIL, CobIT, SLA, creation of a telephone support service and the center of development of solutions), the company created complex support of IT infrastructure and large-scale network of the corporate IT services simplifying work with business applications. Since 2011 management of updates, support of crucial transactions, implementation and quality control of the provided services of self-service are organized based on SAP Solution Manager.
