Softline developed the project of migration of a mail service of the Government of the Sakhalin region

March 23, 2015. The Softline company announced end of the consulting project on preparation of the plan of migration of a mail system of the Government of the Sakhalin region for more modern version of the platform.

Choosing a Solution

Earlier in the Government of the Sakhalin region the mail system based on Exchange 2007 ensuring functioning more than 1500 users was used. For connection of staff of bodies of executive power of the region to modern means of corporate communications by the customer the decision on migration with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 on version 2013 was made.

Specialists of Softline suggested to implement the project within the program of support of corporate clients by vendor (SoftwareAssuranceDeploymentPlanningServices). Use of its such advantages as online access to new products, advantageous conditions of payment by installments of payments, plan development of deployment of systems and applications will allow the customer to receive the maximum return of investments and to save budgetary funds.

Tasks

The main objectives of the project were: providing within upgraded version of a possibility of exchange of e-mails based on MicrosoftOutlook, access to corporate mailboxes via the web interface. Also it was necessary to consult the customer concerning providing to external employees remote access to corporate mail using the existing network security system on the basis of the solution MicrosoftForefrontTMG.

Project Progress

During the project specialists of Softline developed technical specifications on migration implementation which included the program test procedure. In addition, architectural and operational documentation was provided for MS Exchange Server 2013.

Result

As a result the customer received technical justification of the project, the description of its stages and features of functioning of the solution.
