On March 31, 2015 the Comparex company announced project completion of audit of program assets in "The Sverdlovsk hlebomakaronny plant".
Project Tasks
In the spring of 2014 the plant's management set the task to IT department of the enterprise - to build process of management of the used and again purchased equipment rooms and program assets, to optimize financial and legal risks.

Solving of tasks of the project required consolidation of license balance according to all software products of Microsoft used in the company, identification of the assets non-compliant to the requirements of corporate licensing, assessment of the technical risks remaining on an interface level of program and hardware IT assets.
"Options and models of licensing are often rather difficult and a lot of time for understanding of what would be financially and legally correctly can leave. Here economy of investments is important not just, but also what everything would be right in terms of licensing and also it is transparent and is clear for inspection bodies", - Elizabeth Rusaleeva, the head of department of computer providing JSC SMAK noted.

Project Progress
Because of features of IT infrastructure of SMAK company, for the solution of a problem of inventory it was required to increase in the project a share of the labor costs executed in the manual mode with participation of IT managers of the enterprise.
Based on the first part of the project specialists of department of service and consulting of Comparex created the document list, lacking for alignment of license balance and set of the technical risks connected with use in key segments of infrastructure of the obsolete server hardware on the Windows Server platform of 2003.
"Program and the equipment allows to increase efficiency of business processes, so and a profit share of any enterprise. At the same time weak control in the field of use of IT assets can lead to growth of risks on security, technology failures and legal responsibility. Beginning the project we with a big share of responsibility discussed a full stroke of project implementation, having warned about need of costs planning on additional licensing. Fortunately, the volume of additional purchase of licenses did not exceed the predicted values", - Ilya Teterev, the manager on key customers of Comparex reported.
On the second project stage specialists Comparex put into operation the server hardware Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX 300 S8 with a full load disk storage modules of high capacity, carried out works on deployment of infrastructure of a private cloud on the platform Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2 with migration of the domain controller. It increases parameters of fault tolerance and availability of critical IT services.
Project Results
Repeated inventory of program assets showed complete purity of license balance of plant according to all used software products of Microsoft.

Throughout all project of the colleague from Comparex were always ready to come to the rescue in planning of process of management of licenses and to consider documents of title. In a project deliverable the methodology was provided to us for maintenance on a permanent basis of current status of license balance of the enterprise and revaluation of the card of risks in the field of use of program assets. As a result we not just confirmed a full compliance to requirements of license policies of Microsoft, but also received the unrolled recommendations of optimal models of licensing and plans for further expansion of practice of use of solutions of Microsoft are created", - Elizabeth Rusaleeva told.
