2019

Primergy RX1330 M4

On November 11, 2019 the Fujitsu company provided the updated lineup of the servers of the initial Fujitsu PRIMERGY level developed for increase in processing speed of the existing loadings of the companies of small and medium business and preparation for future workloads. Primergy RX2530 M5, RX2540 M5, RX4770 M5, RX2520 M5

On April 2, 2019 the company Fujitsu provided servers PRIMERGY and PRIMEQUEST based on scalable processors Intel Xeon. Support of a non-volatile memory Intel Optane of DC allows, according to the producer, to considerably increase processing speed data in order that applications could take quicker practical information even from data bulks.

In the PRIMERGY and PRIMEQUEST servers the developments created by Fujitsu within the NEXTGenIO project which is included into the research program of the European Union Horizon 2020 are used. Fujitsu began to use in the servers a non-volatile memory of Intel Optane DC for prevention of emergence of the bottlenecks connected with lower speed of a read and write of data in memory (so-called speed of input-output operations) in comparison with higher data processing rate. As a result of implementation of this project Fujitsu could integrate into the PRIMERGY and PRIMEQUEST servers based on architecture of x86 technology of a non-volatile memory and increase the speed of input-output operations.

Fujitsu Primergy RX2540 M5 server

Fujitsu provided the PRIMERGY M5 servers and also PRIMEQUEST in which the high-performance non-volatile memory of NVRAM is used. This technology allows to place data much closer to processors that reduces data transfer time between the processor and a storage system. Reduction of a delay time increases the processing speed of crucial workloads, both for cloud services, and for local databases, claim in Fujitsu.

According to Fujitsu, performance improvement of the provided systems was confirmed with results of the independent reference test. The PRIMERGY RX2540 M5 server set two records in the VMware VMmark test which measures the work speed, scalability and energy consumption of virtualization platforms. The PRIMERGY RX4770 M5 system showed good result (9.1 billion records) in the SAP HANA Standard Application Benchmark test of version 3 for SAP Business Warehouse. Within the test in RX4770 M5 system modules of a non-volatile memory of Intel Optane DC were installed. Modules of memory of DCPMM not only provide the high speed of work, but also allow to increase storage capacity by 3 times and to considerably reduce time of restart of databases. What, according to Fujitsu, shows opportunities for creation of databases with information processing in RAM and new configurations of computing systems. In addition, the PRIMERGY RX4770 M5 and PRIMERGY RX2540 M5 servers set records in SPECjbb2015 test which estimates performance and scalability of systems at start of Java applications.

According to the statement of the producer, the non-volatile memory will allow servers of the PRIMERGY M5 series and the second generation of the PRIMEQUEST servers of series 3000 to support more simultaneous users more virtual machines on one system. Thus, the companies using these servers will be able to scale more quickly applications within virtual infrastructures, providing more services to bigger number of customers, at the same time, increasing quality of the services.

In the PRIMERGY and PRIMEQUEST servers support of software of Fujitsu Software Infrastructure Manager (ISM) is also implemented that allows the companies to receive using one intuitive user interface full control over all components of data processing centers: servers, storage systems, software for network management and management of cloud environments, energy consumption and cooling. With release of the provided generation of systems the free version of software of ISM Essential also became available. ISM Essential provides functions of monitoring of the converged infrastructures and also basic control functions by servers, emphasized in Fujitsu.

Servers PRIMERGY RX2530 M5, RX2540 M5, RX4770 M5, CX 2550 M5, CX2560 M5, CX2570 M5 and the second generation of the PRIMEQUEST servers of series 3000 are available to the order since April 14, 2019. The PRIMERGY RX2520 M5 and TX2550 M5 servers are available to the order since June, 2019. Cost depends on the region and a configuration.

Primergy RX2520 M43

The Fujitsu company announced on November 15, 2017 release of a series of completely updated Primergy servers intended for satisfaction of business needs for conditions of an era of digital transformation. The servers of Fujitsu created based on a processor family of Intel Xeon Scalable, upgraded differ in modern design for ensuring high performance and flexibility of the choice of a configuration.

The line of the Primergy RX servers based on processors of standard architecture was replenished with RX2520 M43 model — the 2-processor rack server of initial level. The model represents a flexible solution for different scopes, including platforms for joint work and the workloads showing increase in the requirement to storage systems.

In addition to the different sizes and form factors (both rack, and floor) all Primergy servers of M4 series offer an opportunity for setup of computing power, memory, the data warehouse and network components.

According to the representative of Fujitsu, the updated line of the Primergy servers provides the optimized performance, cost and flexibility practically for any IT task, model of use, a market segment and requirements of business, helping to accelerate digital transformation with preserving of control over expenses.

All servers of Fujitsu support a possibility of the simplified remote control throughout the entire period of operation using software of Fujitsu ServerView Suite with the integrated controller of remote control iRMC S5.

The Primergy servers can be purchased around the world at Fujitsu company and its distributors. Cost depends on the country, model and a configuration.

Primergy RX2540 M4 is equipped with support of GPU Nvidia Volta

On October 12, 2017 the Fujitsu company announced support of the graphic processors NVIDIA Volta in the Primergy RX2540 M4 server of standard architecture of PRIMERGY.

Use of modern graphic accelerators will allow to use artificial intelligence technology and deep training of neuronets. Separate models of the PRIMERGY servers which will become available to acquisition at the beginning of December, 2017 in the countries of Europe, the Middle East, Africa and in India received certification on use together with the graphic processors Tesla V100 of NVIDIA company.

In the PRIMERGY CX and RX servers the company implemented special support functions of deep training. The Fujitsu PRIMERGY RX2540 M4 server received functionality of support of the graphic processors NVIDIA Volta. In RX2540 M4 systems installation of two Tesla V100 processors connected through PCle is allowed.

PRIMERGY RX2540 M4 is the dual-processor rack server 2U high. It is focused for start of corporate applications, software tools of joint work and message exchange, for work of traditional databases.

2016

Fujitsu Primergy RX4770 M31

Four-socket x86 servers PRIMERGY RX4770 M31 of third generation is equipped with Intel Xeon processors of E7 v4 series and superfast RAM. The rack-mounted PRIMERGY RX4770 M3 server is optimized for support of the annexes, crucial for business, exacting to computing resources. It is suitable for the tasks requiring processing of large volumes of data, for example, for the SAP HANA databases processed in RAM or business analysts in real time.

   

Decrease in electricity consumption becomes possible thanks to the developed Fujitsu of Cool-safe Advanced Thermal Design technology which ensures functioning of the server in the conditions of ambient temperature from +5 °C to +40 °C and lowers energy consumption more than by 25%. According to the developer two new PRIMERGY RX servers can replace five equivalent systems of 2011 of release and thus reduce the occupied physical space by 60%. Among other features of the new PRIMERGY servers there is a simplified remote control which provides expanded control over servers irrespective of the status of a system, even at the decentralized arrangement.

Upgrade of Fujitsu Primergy RX2510 M2, RX2530 M2, RX2540 M2 and RX2560 M2

On April 1, 2016 the Fujitsu company announced regeneration of a line of the dual-processor Primergy servers, since desk-side servers and finishing with computing nodes for high-performance clusters. Servers provide high rates of performance and energy efficiency.

2015

The RX4770 M2 server was a part of a line of Fujitsu Primergy

On May 7, 2015 the Fujitsu company announced release of the four-processor PRIMERGY RX4770 M2 server.

The server is equipped with the Intel Xeon processor E7 v3 (up to 72 cores) and a high-speed system memory of DDR4 with a capacity up to 6 TB. The server with the integrated Remote Management Controller controller (iRMC S4) offers modern management tools and also convenient functions which guarantee faster and cost-efficient infrastructure management irrespective of the location of the server. This server of standard architecture provides the high performance, reliability, consolidation and management efficiency.
