April 01, 2015. The Softline company reported[1] about project completion on transfer to "cloud" of Google of Abamet company. Thanks to implementation of Google services of Apps for Work the customer managed to reduce process of preparation and approval of important business documents several times.

Choosing a Solution

At a certain stage of work the IT service "Abamet" faced problems in work of e-mail: the solution used at the enterprise appeared incapable to provide continuous and uninterrupted access to postal services of the company. It became a basic reason of making decision on implementation of cloud services.

On initial stage of the project requirements to a new solution were formulated. In particular, it had to provide high availability (SLA at the level of 100%), to have mobile applications for work with mail, to be cross-platform. To all these criteria completely there corresponded cloud services of Google Apps for Work.

Implementing solution and a transfer of all services of the customer in "cloud" of Google were made by Softline company - the leading partner of Google in Russia. For project implementation in Abamet Softline selected the engineer who supported and controlled process of transition of all services of the customer to a new solution. As a result of all staff of Abamet company it was succeeded to transfer to Google Apps during the days off.

Result

Advantages of use of cloud services became obvious even in the course of integration of employees into the new system of communications: the volume of the files attached in correspondence was considerably reduced, the efficiency of preparation of documents of different degree of complexity increased, an environment for the uniform data warehouse, available to all staff of the company was created.

At the moment practically all staff of Abamet uses Google services of Apps for Work: in the company access to corporate mail and documents from mobile devices is implemented. Google Drive is used for storage and file sharing with the different access level. The Google service of Vault allows owners and company management to control safety of corporate correspondence. Google Sites is used as a basis for creation of the general knowledge base in the company. Based on the same service in Abamet the system of technical support is implemented. Google Calendar allows to estimate employment of personnel in real time and performs functions of the general base of contacts.

"Now important documents (for example, the annual budget or the sales plan) are developed and coordinated in much shorter terms, all participants of process work with one copy of the document, - Sergey Sysoyev, the deputy CEO of Abamet company comments on project deliverables. - Before implementation of Google Apps similar files were sent from the user to the user by e-mail. It created the confusion connected with relevant copies and versions and also with process of introduction of changes by participants. Cloud services of Google allowed to differentiate spheres of responsibility of employees in this or that part of the document, provided online access for heads, processes, controlling preparation and implementation significant for the company".
"Work acceleration by Abamet and also quality improvement of information infrastructure of the company became the main effect of implementation of cloud services of Google Apps for Work. Many important documents began to prepare many times quicker, respectively, we began to interact with clients more quickly and qualitatively", - Sergey Sysoyev summarized.
