Content

On April 8, 2015 the Technoserv company announced video surveillance system implementation using technology of the thermovision circular overview at city airport Cherepovets by request of the company "Severstal Airline.

Project Tasks

"The efficiency of traditional video surveillance systems and thermovision in many respects depends on a human factor. Statistically in 20 minutes of observation of screens the operator misses about 80% of the registered events therefore direct increase in number of cameras often does not affect the end result – decrease in number of incidents. Video analytics complexes, including, based on thermovision technologies help to solve this problem", - Boris Borodyansky, the director of the department of business development of Technoserv company in Russia and the CIS countries noted.

"According to regulating documents of Ministry of Transport on such important object of transport infrastructure as the airport, strict access control of people and machines on the territory is obliged to be exercised, - Pyotr Menitsky, the deputy CEO for aviation security of the company " told Severstal Airline. – At the Cherepovets airport there is a serious security system, but we made the decision in addition to strengthen the block of protection of perimeter of an object".

The management of service of aviation security of the Cherepovets airport made the decision to carry out operational testings and to check functional characteristics of the thermovision locator of the circular overview (TLCO) Eagle owl developed by ElVIS-NeoTech company.

Project Progress

The system of the thermovision circular overview in the course of tests round the clock conducted automatic detection and maintenance of the purposes in limits of the range, available on this object: people up to 1100-1200 m, vehicles up to 1500 m.

Project Results

The implemented system allows to set a virtual zone of protection, to automatically determine violators on thermovision / video to the image on the land and water in the conditions of a natural interfering situation (fog, existence of vegetation, change of time of day, appearance of insects in a frame, a flare automobile headlights, etc.).

All purposes and disturbing events detected by TLKO "Eagle owl" are displayed in real time on the automated attendant workstation set in the center of aviation security of the airport. The operator has an opportunity to browse video fragments before detection of the violator, to select the options of actions for processing of a disturbing event offered by a system.

As a part of a complex:

  • thermal imager (main sensor);
  • video camera (additional sensor);
  • rotary platform;
  • block of storage, data processing and analytics (IP-66);
  • The automated workplace of the operator with the preset software.

"Results of tests at the Cherepovets airport confirmed efficiency of application of TLKO "Eagle owl" for automatic round-the-clock protection of the airport and approaches to it under any weather conditions. Now the complex is put into operation and guards security of an object", - Alexander Rakutin, the CEO of ElVIS-NeoTech company noted.
