Softline developed a corporate portal for Zarubezhneft company

April 14, 2015. The Softline company announced project completion of development of the internal website of Zarubezhneft company. The solution based on Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 became the main instrument of informing staff of the company on its activity. The portal helps to solve the problems connected with search and information storage, manages corporate knowledge and also provides employees with a convenient handshaking.

Tasks

One of problems of strategic development of the company for the next three years is formation and promotion of the principles of corporate culture, strengthening of command spirit. First of all it should be promoted by more complete informing workers on development strategies and events in life of the company.

Choosing a Solution

The management of Zarubezhneft made the decision to create a corporate portal which would become a single internal communication framework for employees. A basis the intranet website became the product Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013. According to the customer, such choice allows to reduce costs for service and support of a system thanks to integration into all Microsoft applications which prevail in infrastructure of Zarubezhneft. Existence of the current agreement Enterprise Agreement thanks to which acquisition of additional licenses was not required became one more factor of the choice. In an open competition on development of a corporate portal of Zarubezhneft the victory was won by the Softline company having all necessary competences and extensive experience in project implementation on creation the intranet - and Internet resources for big customers.

Project Progress

At the initial stage of the project specialists of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company collected requirements of the customer to a system and developed technical specifications, created prototype designs in the corporate style of the company. Then in parallel unrolled the test and productive Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 environments. It allowed to reduce project deadlines as after successful testing the developed solution at once was transferred to production environment.

Result

Now the solution is brought into operation. The created portal contains general information about the companies (history and the directions of development, an organization structure, news), electronic services (the order of business cards, admissions, armoring of negotiation), materials of HR service (document templates, the reference documentation), pages of divisions (the independent websites of departments), the knowledge base (the description of best practices and materials of trainings and presentations) and many other things. Thanks to integration from 1C at the portal the list of the employees who are absent from work is displayed and also the module "Phonebook" in which in addition to the standard Active Directory parameters – names and a contact information - the display of birthdays of workers is in addition customized functions.

For Zarubezhneft the corporate portal became the useful and irreplaceable tool in work. He allows to solve the problems connected with search and information storage, automates business processes, exercises control of corporate knowledge and also provides employees with a convenient handshaking, develops together with the company, representatives of the company integrator reported TAdviser.

"In development process the initial structure of the portal underwent significant changes, but we considered all wishes of the customer, and all conversions were entered on the project course.
