Implementation project of the warehouse management system IsWMS in Yumiks distribution company

The InStock Technologies company completed system implementation of management of the warehouse IsWMS in Yumiks distribution company in the course of what it was succeeded to solve a number of complex problems for implementation of needs of the client.

YuMIKS company specializes in wholesale trade by plumbing fixtures since 1998. The central warehouse complex of the company consists of a number of separate buildings. The goods representing plumbing fixtures and accessories require uncommon approach to automation of its processing. It and the large-size heavy goods which are stored on non-standard pallets in racks and napolno and the melkogabaritny goods which are selected from the shelf mezzanine. The warehouse management system IsWMS calculates the need for zones of selection and storage of goods, a possibility of creation a monopallet on acceptance and, based on rules of sorting of goods, creates on acceptance separate pallets with goods for each zone of selection/storage, prompting to the acceptor what goods on what pallet to place.

In a warehouse processing of sets along with the fact that component parts can be on sale and in itself is made. The special complexity in work of WMS is represented "separated the article": the commodity unit comes on several pallets, is stored on different places, and shipped by set. The WMS system of IsWMS defines whether the goods are a set, to the free component part separated by the article, or the component part as a part of the separated article. The following processes consider this fact and have the features in processing of these types of goods: acceptance, selection, replenishment, shipment, inventory, change of the status, movement of goods on a task (as a result of change of the status), dismantling of the order. If one of component parts is damaged, WMS should process correctly disassembling of this unit.

Due to the big heterogeneity of goods and its shipment to clients of different type (from small shipments of shipment at own expense, before wholesale shipments to network retailers), in different situations it is optimal to use different types of selection and the subsequent sorting, control and consolidation. The goods on the mezzanine are selected by group methods: several orders for one pass with sorting according to boxes on the cart of the selector. Large-size goods – a selection method under one order. Heavy goods of type of sinks – the whole pallet, with its layout by orders in an expedition zone. Goods on the street - manual selection, etc.

From the moment of installation the warehouse management system IsWMS perfectly proved in work on a warehouse complex of Yumiks company.
