Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure

Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure is the technological solution for safe copying of files with on Azure virtual machines.

On May 13, 2015 the Veeam Software company presented the solution Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure. The product is intended to simplify transition to a hybrid cloud of Microsoft within implementation of IT strategy of the enterprises.

For May 13, 2015 the beta of a product is available.

Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure is one more product in a line of the free solutions developed by Veeam for IT community, as a part of which:

• Veeam Endpoint Backup FREE,
• Veeam Backup Free Edition,
• Veeam ONE Free Edition
• Veeam Task Manager for Hyper-V.

Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure simplifies and accelerates work of the companies of any scale in a hybrid cloud. The free Veeam tool for the administrators and developers working with Azure provides:

• simple in use, reliable and speed copy of files - allows to copy data from local servers on the virtual machines (VM) in Microsoft Azure cloud and also to copy files from cloud VM on the local platform;

• the high level of security when copying is reached by means of use of HTTPS that does optional setup of the VPN channel between internal network and Azure;

• automatic execution of problems of copying of the schedule helps to configure problems of copying of files so that periodically to create copies of local files and files on VM in Azure;

• work without the need for use of scripts: to configure a problem of copying of files the skill of writing of scripts — enough several clicks of "mouse" in the user interface is not required.

Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure does not require installation of the additional software or additional expenses. Idle time in use, the tool eliminates a set of barriers, including the problems connected with connection and complexity in management of data transfer from internal network on Azure of VM and back. Besides, the tool stimulates transition to Azure, partly lifting the limit connected with one of the main factors interfering wide circulation of public clouds — lack of reliable solutions for copying of files with/on Azure of VM.

It is planned that Veeam FastSCP for Microsoft Azure will be available to users in the 3rd  quarter 2015.
