May 20, 2015. The Softline company announced project completion on upgrade of a mail system of Administration of the Polar area based on the solution Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.
Goals and Objectives
For conducting mail communications the staff of Administration of the Polar area used public free services. But this approach did not meet safety requirements. In addition to cybersecurity risks, process of interaction was complicated by use of the general postal addresses by groups of persons, lack of personalisation of sending and obtaining messages. The centralized system of exchange of e-mails was necessary for administration.
Choosing a Solution
For the solution of an assigned task the staff of department of informatization, automation and maintenance of organization selected the product Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 allowing to control productive and safe work of users in a mail system. In view of remote arrangement of an object testing was held using interviewing of specialists of the customer. Questions included assessment of a status of the existing infrastructure blocks and also development plans and scaling of the mail solution.
Project Progress
In the announced tender for the choice of the partner the main criterion was experience in implementations of similar projects and readiness of integrator for further scaling and a full support of a system. The victory was won by the Softline company having long-term experience of creation and upgrade of the systems of exchange of e-mails and having the highest partner statuses of Microsoft.
Having studied features of IT infrastructure of the customer and having revealed the main requirements to the platform of mail communications, specialists of department of solutions of Microsoft of Softline company implemented the solution Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 expected support of 200 users. Then provided necessary personnel training of the customer, made necessary instructions for work with Web Access services and prolongation of safety certificates. All this needed to be made to facilitate process of transition of administration to a mail system.
Result
As to the customer failsafe and effective solution which will be scaled further on 200 mailboxes was required, specialists of Softline constructed a system using technologies of virtualization and also developed and tested data transfer mechanisms on the new platform. In a project deliverable the customer received the centralized mail solution conforming to all requirements.
