Inventive Retail Group completed budgeting system implementation from SAP

On June 5, 2015 the SAP CIS company and Inventive Retail Group company announced project completion of SAP implementation of BusinessObject Business Planning and Consolidation (SAP BPC).

Project Tasks

Inventive Retail Group planned development of corporate IT infrastructure, and support of the growing business required creation of a system for formation of strategic, operational and investment plans, the analysis of their execution that it is obviously important in the conditions of expansion of retail chain stores and an output to the market of new brands against the background of an unstable economic situation and the fluctuations in demand.

By estimates of Inventive Retail Group, the project will give a profitability gain within one and a half years at the level of 0.5% at the expense of deep analytics and increase in information processing rate. The analytics will help to reveal efficiency reserves, and efficiency of information processing – timely to make decisions that to monetize these reserves.

The company conducted financial planning and formation of the operating budget in the manual mode, in Excel that complicated work and increased risk of errors. Besides, there was no possibility of the automatic centralized data analysis.

Project Results

Transition to SAP BPC caused end-to-end automation of budgeting at all levels. As a result depth of the plan-fact analysis in comparison with the manual mode increased that positively affected, both accuracy, and effectiveness of planning.

One of project components - creation of a data mart on which the actual data from SAP BPC further used for planning and the detailed operational analysis of its execution get.
