On June 10, 2015 JSC Rostelecom announced macroregional branch "Moscow" creation of the local data warehouse on the Microsoft SQL Server platform. The project is executed in cooperation by GlowByte Consulting company.
Project Progress
Implementation consolidates information from a set of sources. The modern architecture and the DBMS expanded tools help the staff of branch to prepare the scalable reporting on volumes and revenue of the services provided to subscribers, to use an OLAP cubes for the analysis of marketing indicators.

For efficiency analysis of services broadband access and drawing up the management reporting data from several billing and CRM systems are used.
Project Results
Creation of local storage on the Microsoft SQL Server platform helped to optimize process of preparation of the management reporting and to provide the management of branch of up-to-date information, and Microsoft SharePoint services provided uniform point of entry in an analytical system. For June 10, 2015 the database contains about 1 terabyte (TB) of data, more than 150 employees have access to it.
"The new data warehouse allows us to create analytical reports on different structural units and different cuts of a uniform source. Therefore the set-up time of reports was reduced, possibilities of use of results extended" – Dmitry Kim, the commercial director of macroregional branch "Moscow" of JSC Rostelecom commented on project results.
