2015: SAP implementation of HANA in Siemens

In the middle of June, 2015 it became known that Siemens signed with Atos the six-year contract within which the French IT company will be engaged in creation of a global cloud platform based on SAP HANA for the German partner.

The new platform intended for the organization of a broad spectrum of services of transfer of corporate data will be built on high-end servers with architecture of x86 of Bull company and will include the equipment and the software of production of EMC.

Atos will create for Siemens a cloud platform based on SAP HANA

Over 100 thousand employees of the European concern will use worldwide the solution which is deployed by Atos for Siemens. This project of integration of the SAP HANA platform should become the largest in the history.

Siemens says that SAP implementation of HANA will stimulate development of innovations and development of a new business model of joint work of employees. Besides, the German giant intends to transfer the key business systems and processes from SAP ERP on SAP HANA. Atos will be directly involved in this migration.

Siemens is sure that thanks to SAP HANA the enterprise management system will become more cost-efficient, flexible and scalable and also the organizational maneuverability will improve.

Project Results

On April 17, 2017 the Atos company announced implementation of SAP HANA technology in IT infrastructure of Siemens AG company.

Siemens AG was faced by problems of increase in commercial value, efficiency and optimization of IT investments, increases in flexibility and scalability due to cloud approach on the basis of HANA. Project participants developed the diagram of transition of technology ERP to HANA by August, 2016 and global implementation of HANA by 2021. Atos offered a cloud platform on a basis servers bullion x86 and storage systems EMC.
