Summit X450-G2 is the boundary switch.
On June 24, 2015 the Extreme Networks company announced availability of the technology developed by it to role management of politicians in family of the fixed Summit X450-G2 switches and another, earlier being issued Summit switches.
Thereby the company announced integration of technology of management of politicians and security into the ExtremeXOS operating system. By means of this integration installation of end-to-end security policies and management of them in the mixed wire and wireless networked environment constructed on the basis of the equipment Extreme Networks is available.
In Summit X450-G2 devices support of southbound-interfaces for integration into the OneController controller provided by the company, constructed on the Open Daylight platform is implemented. These opportunities allow customers to carry out upgrade of the networks, providing support of interaction with new security technologies, technologies of wireless networks, convergent infrastructures of software-defined networks (SDN), within a uniform complex portfolio of network equipment.
