The Provincial Drugstores network upgraded management of IT service

On June 25, 2015 the Softline company announced implementation in retail chain stores Provincial drugstores of a monitoring system of IT processes on the System Center Operations Manager Softline platform^[1].

Project Tasks

In the aspiration to improve quality of work of IT infrastructure, to increase efficiency of detection and elimination of problems, to minimize risks of idle time of workstations at possible malfunctions, the IT department of the organization made the decision on implementation of a modern control system.

Provincial drugstores, 2014

During consultations with specialists of the Softline company selected by the contractor of the project a competitive basis, preference was given to the solution System Center Operations Manager - it gives possibilities of flexible monitoring of infrastructure, provides the predicted performance and availability of important business applications.

Project Progress

Within the project, at head office of the organization carried out diagnostics of infrastructure then unrolled the System Center Operations Manager system. Connected network and server the equipment to a monitoring system.

Project Results

As a result of implementation process of administration and control became simpler. IT specialists got access to detailed reports about indicators of controlled resources (server and client operating systems, applications, services, network equipment) and a possibility of operational troubleshooting.

"Main advantage of the implemented solution is its pro-activity: the staff of IT department received the tool for monitoring of infrastructure and the equipment informing on need of introduction of corrections before there are critical failures in work of IT systems. It minimizes risk of loss of profit of the organization as a result of forced idle times in work of users and declines in production", - Vasily Starintsev, the manager on sale of solutions of Softline company said.
