Main product of Occipital company on the middle of 2015 is the product Structure Sensor which is established on Apple iPad tablets. The sensor allows significantly more simply and cheaper, than earlier, to create three-dimensional models of surrounding space and also to model a form and an appearance of real objects.

First generation of a product worth 379 US dollars was shown in 2013 and attracted 1.3 million dollars from 3.5 thousand sponsors during extremely successful campaign on the Kickstarter portal. Later the company provided a set of development tools which simplified creating applications, using possibilities of the sensor.

On the middle of 2015 the equipment and the Occipital platform are used in medicine, architecture and design, the industry 3D there are printings and in the field of creation of visual effects and computer graphics. In particular, developments of Occipital use for creation of 3D models of premises, interiors and pieces of furniture. The sensor allows to scan objects for the subsequent printing on the 3D-printer. Also the product is applied to scanning of a body — for example to visualize results of plastic surgery.

Among the main partners of Occipital in 2015 there is a 3D Systems company, the leading world solution provider in the 3D area - printing, and the studio of ILM which is a part of Lucasfilm (The Walt Disney Company).
