Project Tasks

Project objective - process automation of planning, development and optimization trunk IP/MPLS- networks. As the target platform the product is selected Juniper WANDL IP/MPLSView. The product helped to simplify and accelerate planning, to raise qualitative indexes of network functioning.

Such approach guarantees to clients Beeline reliable and uninterrupted service, and it also is strategically important purpose of the company" — Dmitry Ilyin, the development director of a transport network of VimpelCom company said.

Project Progress

Within the first stage of the project 500 nodes of transport IP/MPLS network creating reference network both for a mobile segment of business, and for a ShPD segment of services in scales of the whole country are connected to a system. Data collection is performed on a periodic basis with the set intervals (for a configuration – 1 time a day, for traffic – 1 time 5 minutes).

Project Results

The complete information about a configuration of network points is as a result collected, the topology of IP/MPLS of network is constructed and data on loading of elements of network are obtained. Topological cards of a system are under construction taking into account a geographical binding of nodes of network and support different visual cuts of network data.

The long-term forecast which is created by a system helps to direct more effectively investments with the maximum advantage for the end consumer.

The created solution allows to predict traffic volume in network using methods of statistical analysis. Such opportunity increases the accuracy of planning processes of network taking into account growth of volumes of traffic. Results of the forecast can be used by divisions of marketing for refining of development plans. Possibly and the solution of the return task when data on the planned traffic are loaded into a system and it is necessary to give an assessment to sufficiency of network transmission capacity.

"The project for VimpelCom belongs to the class OSS/BSS systems which are "fad" of Technoserv. In 4 months allotted on implementation of a system, our command needed to adapt the solution to infrastructure of network of the operator, jointly with specialists of the customer to connect all equipment, and, above all to configure mathematical algorithms of calculation of a matrix of traffic. Despite project deadlines, all works were performed just in time.
