The Ministry of Transport of Dagestan "RBC Kavkaz" clarified that the decision to allocate funds was made on the basis of the implementation of the project at a level of at least 10%. According to the project, it is planned to build a new artificial runway 3.2 thousand m long and 45 m wide, which will be connected to the old one using three taxiways.
Earlier it was reported that the new runway will allow receiving aircraft of all types. Completion of the construction is scheduled for 2026. The total cost of the project is estimated at 13.2 billion rubles.
