KyivPost passed to a cloud mail system

On August 25, 2015 reported Softline Ukraine - the project on upgrade of a mail system of the weekly publication KyivPost is complete.

Project Tasks

KyivPost is the weekly business English-language newspaper, circulation is 11 thousand copies. The administration of the weekly needed a centralized system of exchange of e-mails.

Earlier for interaction of employees the edition used the internal mail server which operation depended on stability of the Internet and volume of correspondence. The server did not cope with the volume of spam arriving on the corporate postal addresses because of what employees could not get access to the letters.

For the solution of the standing task the company selected Apps Google service helping to control productive and safe work of users in a mail system.

Project Progress

Having studied features of IT infrastructure of the customer, having cleared the main requirements to the platform of mail communications, specialists of Softline company implemented the Google Apps solution expected support of 50 employees of the KyivPost edition.

Project Results

A system provided possibilities of control and safety of work. She copes with the growing volumes of e-mails. The used solution increased efficiency of team work.

"It is pleasant to note that project implementation of migration on the Google Apps mail did not cause any inconveniences and problems for editorial office employees. Specialists of Softline not only made necessary settings taking into account specifics of our business, but also trained personnel in work with Google applications", - Alexey Bondarchuk, the Chief information officer of the KyivPost edition noted.

"The KyivPost edition had a need for reliable e-mail with spam filtering and antivirus protection. Therefore we offered a product in which we are sure - Google Mail (Gmail). Google invests billions of dollars in information systems, employees and processes for security and confidentiality of data. Also it was important to management of the newspaper to provide a possibility of storage of large volumes of data. And Google Mail having potential of unlimited expansion of storage is an optimal solution", - Roman Byshok, the account manager of Softline company told.
