Rosreestr and RKS began works on the organization of a system of high-precision positioning

On August 26, 2015 the Federal Service for State Registration, Cartography and Cadastre (Rosreestr) announced the project of creation together with JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy and further use of the national network of high-precision positioning (NNHPP).

Project Tasks

According to the agreement on interaction Rosreestr should perform functions of the coordinator in the project, RKS will be operator of the created network. According to the plan of partners NSVP should become one of the tools for solving of tasks created in the project of Strategy of land and cartographic providing the Russian Federation approved by Rosreestr on perspective till 2030.

It is supposed that the national satellite network of high-precision positioning will provide determination of coordinates of objects in real time with a centimetric accuracy. The unique opportunities given to NSVP can be used for the solution of difficult technology tasks of geodetic support, in construction, control of all means of transport, the maintenance of infrastructure facilities, a land complex, in other areas.

Igor Vasilyev, the head of Rosreestr, said: "The agreement between Rosreestr and "The Russian space systems" became an important step in development of the domestic geodetic and cartographic industry. It will allow to improve qualitatively ensuring with cartographic materials and results of geodetic measurements for assistance to economic and social development, increases in defense capability and security of the country".

"Today one more step on the way of creation of NSVP for which we create a technology basis is taken. The state support which we got on behalf of Rosreestr is very important for successful implementation of this project of national scale. NVSP services are addressed to a wide range of consumers, in creation of national network already showed interest many regions of Russia", - Andrey Tyulin, the CEO of JSC Rossiyskiye kosmicheskiye sistemy noted.

In plans of partners: integrate more than 600 GLONASS satellite referentsny stations on the basis of which separate regional networks of high-precision positioning and network of large state and commercial owners are organized by means of NSVP. The concept of NSVP provides consolidation of the available networks and certain referentsny stations in a single network, increase in a coverage by construction of new stations.

NSVP will be able to provide users with a set of the guaranteed services of positioning, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The received measurements can be recalculated in different coordinate systems.
