Roskosmos connected all the enterprises to cloud infrastructure

On September 30 the Russian Space Systems (RSS) holding announced completion of creation of cloud infrastructure for Roskosmos state corporation.

RKS as note in holding, creating devices of space appointment, in recent years more and more actively develop digital services on the basis of data of remote sensing of Earth and navigation. Within development of competences in the field of RKS created cloud infrastructure. Within several last years it was scaled for work within all state corporation.

"The Russian space systems" have sales plans of cloud services.

The idea of creation of a cloud was born in 2015-2016. We analyzed requirement of our design divisions carried on perimeter understood that it is rather difficult to service them the current staff of IT specialists: to react constantly to their requirements for optimization of jobs, their software. Developed the general technical proposals on creation of a cloud. Now we already create a cloud on 500 design jobs and it rather actively use, - the CIO of RKS Dmitry Lepeshkin told.

At the same time he added that in RKS are going to develop a cloud further.

Let's submerge not only PLM a circuit in it, but also ERP. There are sales plans of cloud services, - Dmitry Lepeshkin explained.

He also noted that to be a supplier of cloud services for RKS - new quality.

It is very responsible role. Experience showed that transition to a cloud technology unloaded a part of IT personnel and also distributed load of servers. According to us, optimization of industry IT infrastructure allowed to increase its efficiency by 20–30%, - Dmitry Lepeshkin said.

For formation of a cloud to which all enterprises of Roskosmos are connected in RKS use racks of own DPC which in it there are more than 300. As note in holding, the DPC allows to store safely data, to make computing transactions and also to ensure communication and joint work of certain specialists and the whole enterprises of the industry.
