MGSU equipped laboratory with the system of 3-dimensional visualization

On September 1, 2015 the CROC company announced participation in the project of the equipment of Smart City laboratory of the National research Moscow state construction university (NIU MGSU) the 3D system - visualization of buildings, constructions and their systems (elements).

Project Tasks

The project is focused on the innovation segment of the industry market of technologies — information modeling of buildings — BIM technologies (Building Information Modeling). Project participants are sure - implementation will help to strengthen positions of the university in the rating of the Russian universities and to expand a range of research and scientific and technical activity — to attract additional commercial orders on design, technical supervision, monitoring of construction objects.

3D - NIU MGSU technologies is going to use for the solution of several tasks:

• increase quality of training of students and memorability of material (according to researches, it increases at least on a third thanks to use of technologies of virtual reality)
• strengthen positions in the environment of the Russian construction universities due to improvement of technology base
• increase commercial activity of the projects initiated together with architectural bureaus that will also help to find additional, off-budget, funds for development of university.
• give the chance to students to do practical training in "fighting" conditions of real projects.

Project Progress

At the heart of the solution proposed Croc there is a projective system with permission of Full HD and high contrast. It provides viewing 3D - projects and work with them in the stereomode on the big screen with group to 50 people. Technical features of the stereomode allow deep immersion in virtual reality of any architectural or engineering object without derivation on management tools. As software the EON Reality software package providing the most complete functionality for modeling of three-dimensional interactive images is used. These 3D systems - visualization can be integrated with BIM technology which is used in modern world construction for simplification of management of all lifecycle of design, construction and operation, reduction of terms of execution of works due to reduction of errors and completions and also allows to lower design costs, creation and operation of objects.

Project Results

For September 1, 2015 NIU MGSU fulfills new technologies of creation and making changes in 3D - content on the example of buildings as a part of a campus of the university. Consultations for the customer were held by Croc company. Is going to develop new content for new courses of NIU MGSU independently, including unloading archives of drawings from the applied systems regardless of their formats.

Also allow to model the making subobjects and technology processes at the new level to ponimaniye by students and representations by researchers if it is about our academic activity, at the expense of cybernetic model of projects with a possibility of inclusion of animation at all levels" — Pavel Chelyshkov, the director of scientific and education center of the nformatsionny systems and intelligent automatic equipment in construction (NOTs ISIAS — Smart City laboratory) noted, NIU MGSU.

Works on hardware of laboratory are performed in one month.
